Shaanxi Tongchuan Aluminum Industry Co. Ltd. The company has an annual productive capacity of 250,000 tons of electrolytic aluminum and an installed capacity of electrical generation of 50,000 kw. Its products cover eight categories including several tens of kinds such as re-smelting aluminum ingot, aluminum wire rod, naked aluminum stranded conductor and aluminum conductor steel reinforced, alloy bar, aluminum section, aluminum bus and carbon products. Its leading product, re-smelting aluminum ingot with brand of ?°Yuhua?±, which has been rated as a Shaanxi famous brand product and a well-known brand in aluminum smelting industry of China, approved and registered for transaction in Shanghai Metal Exchange, is always a ready sale in more than 20 provinces and regions in China and sells well in Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia as well as in Hong Kong and Taiwan areas of China, highly commended by customers. The company was granted the rights of imports and exports for foreign trade in 1994, passed ISO9002 quality system certification in 2000 and further passed ISO9001-2000 quality system certification in 2003. Its bank credit is rated AA. In 2004, the company was listed by National Development and Reform Commission as one of the key 14 electrolytic aluminum enterprises to be supported.

The company was constructed and put into production in 1969. Over 40 years, with the concern and support from all walks of life, the amount of electrolytic aluminum produced has accumulated to 1.3248 million tons, realizing profit tax of RMB 924 million yuan. In recent years, the company enters a period of rapid development as a result of its facilities being greatly upgraded, main economic indicators being improved and optimized to a great extent as well as both living and productive environment being fully perfected. In 2008, an amount of 213,800 tons of electrolytic aluminum was yielded with a gross industrial output value (current price) of RMB 3.152 billion yuan and a sales income of RMB 3.141 billion yuan. The company, located in Dongjiahe Aluminum Industrial Park, Tongchuan City, Shaanxi Province, bounded on the north by Loess Plateau abundant in resources and adjacent on the south to vast Guanzhong Plains that has splendid culture, is about only 1km distant from 210 national highway, Xi?ˉan-Tongchuan highway and Xianyang-Tongchuan railway, leading to convenient and fast transportation; on the east, it is 250Km distant from Shanxi Alumina Plant ¨C the largest alumina base in Asia, and on the north, it neighbors with Shanbei Coal & Chemical Industry Base. Abundant coal resources within territory of Tongchuan City also renders a richly endowed location for developing cogeneration of aluminum, electricity and coal.

The persistence objectives and tasks of the company are to ?°make aluminum industry a big one, make power supply a strong one and stretch industry chain?±. During the ?°11th Five-year Plan?±,the Company will work hard to expand associated industries of aluminum and deep processing while proceeding with enlarged scale of electrolytic aluminum production, focusing on aluminum smelting and using as a nexus the cogeneration of aluminum and electricity. In accordance with the planning on aluminum industrial development in Tongchuan, by the end of the ?°11th Five-year Plan?±, the annual generation capacity of the company will have increased by 600,000kw, and the production lines for 280,000-ton electrolytic aluminums, 120,000-ton pre-baked anodes, 30,000-ton aluminum alloy ingots, 80,000-ton aluminum plates and strips as well as for hot rolled plates, refined aluminum and fluorinated salts have been planned for construction in order to break through output value of RMB10 billion yuan, consequently converting Tongchuan aluminum industry into an aluminum industrial base in Shaanxi.
